Each rank uses the recipe with the lowest expected cost for one point, counting the extra crafts yellow and green recipes need. Only trainer and vendor recipes are used, each from the rank it is learned at; prices come from auction scans and vendor records, and a reagent without a price is treated as expensive. A recipe whose learn rank nobody has recorded yet is only used from its yellow rank, unless nothing else raises the skill there.
